 About Us

Our guesthouse is a family owned business, built by the hands of a native Anguillian, my

late grandfather John Gumbs and currently managed by my father Hutson Gumbs, of whom

many consider a historian and a man of great hospitality.  The mission behind the

guesthouse was to build and host an affordable and comfortable lodging where many can

enjoy the beauty of Anguilla without the price of their peace. Thus, it was named after myself

and has been serving many a valued traveller, natives of the Carribbean, family and friends

   for almost thirty years.

I am firm believer that to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under

the heaven. We are continuing to serve those who are looking to enjoy the beauty of

Anguilla's rich culture and breath taking 33 beaches in the best way we can until our season

of servitude ends. We have weathered many storms and provided reasonable rest to some of

the most remarkable guests to grace the island. Our humble lodgings have and continue to

accomplish it's purpose and our doors are open to you to have a place to stay that is budget

   friendly.

To each guest we thank you for your time and friendly conversation.

We hope to see you soon.

   God bless,

   Nadine

The building of the Ship Poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

This poem was painted on the top of our guesthouse years ago, it was an inspiration to my grandfather who built the guesthouse from scratch.

"Build me straight, O worthy Master!
Stanch and strong, a goodly vessel,
That shall laugh at all disaster,
And with wave and whirlwind wrestle!"
